Celebrate 50 years of Chicago pride & progress in historic Boystown at Chicago Pride Fest® 2019. Join us June 22-23 for a legendary two-day festival of LGBTQ+ life, culture & community. $10 suggested donation – all ages.
This year’s Halsted Street festival stretches from Addison to Sheridan, featuring a new house music stage, kids playland, OUT at Wrigley National Anthem Singing Contest, fashion show, pet parade, shopping, food & drink, and plenty of sunshine, rainbows, and dancing in the street.

Congratulations to Jean Leigh of the The Leigh Gallery receiving the Boystown Pride Award in recognition of 14 years of service & commitment to the neighborhood, as a business owner & Northalsted Board Member for many years.The gallery will be closing as Jean & her partner Denise are retiring later this year. Northalsted Business Alliance, Chicago Department of Transportation, Alderman Tunney & Alderman Cappelman have been working to bring 14 pride themed crosswalks to the Boystown community.Targeted for installation during June pride month, the project is the culmination of months of development, made possible by generous donations from attendees at Chicago Pride Fest & Northalsted Market Days.Additionally, the Chicago Landmarks Commission recently voted unanimously to designate the Boystown Rainbow Pylons, including the The Legacy Project memorial, a Chicago Historic Landmark.
