05 Monkeypox Vaccination Information

The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) has announced a list of official community partners that residents can contact for the MPV vaccine. Not all will have available doses or appointments; many are now offering waitlists. Chicago will receive an increasing number of doses in the coming weeks.

To date, most Chicago cases have been identified in individuals that have experienced skin-to-lesion contact and/or sexual contact with men who have sex with men (MSM). The vaccine is not currently recommended for the general public, including (cis or trans) men who have sex with men without the additional criteria: having multiple or anonymous sex partners, sex at a social or sexual venue, or sex in exchange for money or goods within the last 14 days.
