The waiting area is very shabby, there is even crumbling drywall near the window. However this doesn't matter because I wasn't kept waiting very long. The service is very prompt and efficient, and they do a great job on the body work.The estimates were done very quickly and all of the delivery timelines were kept. Right now there is a shortage of rental cars, so be sure that you line up your rental car in advance so you aren't stuck without something to drive while your car is being repaired.

Went in with a rear view mirror dangling off and they fixed it right up lickitysplit and for free super fast! Amazingly nice people all there !

Just want to give a positive shout out to Chris and the team at Gerber Collision on Halsted. Our 2007 Toyota Camry lives on the streets of Chicago and well, you know, is showing bumper issues. We thought we would need a whole new bumper. Chris took the car, installed a few missing bolts, washed it (!) and returned it within 20 minutes at no charge. Great service and crew!

I was rear ended by an uninsured driver a few weeks ago, near closing time for most auto shops. This location was open for another 20 minutes when I had called, and I was about 20-25 minutes away. Chris *stayed* to do an estimate on my vehicle and even mentioned I wouldn't need a new bumper like I had originally thought - that they could buff/fill/paint the damage (which saved SO much money). They finished my repair in 1 day, and honestly can say that Chris went above and beyond from start to finish. Really appreciated the professionalism and incredible customer service. Respectfully, I hope I never have to come back - if I do, I know I'll be in excellent hands. Thanks y'all! Appreciate you so much.

There is no thing as luck I call it God working in mysterious ways! 🙌🏼I’m so grateful for the Angels he send me to help me out yesterday from this locationI left my keys inside the car two times in a row once on Saturday and yesterday again. on Saturday I called locksmith and I was waiting for hours for help, and I was ready to go through struggle again on Monday.But something toll me to call my local shops around me and I came across Gerber and there’s no words to explain how grateful I am, I didn’t catch the name of the person over the phone helping me but he was so nice he send help right away he said it would take 5 minutes and it sure was the manager Sam came out to help me so quick and no damage around the rim of my car everything so smooth 🙌🏼Thank you guys for everything and the price $ was very reasonable thank for making everything so smooth and easy for me I appreciate it😃

I live in a neighboring building. Discovered that my car battery was completely dead during one of the coldest days this winter, so I came into the shop to ask about jumper cables. Sam, the manager, saved the day. He went above and beyond--he did not just lend me equipment, but came out and gave me a jump start to ensure that my car was good to go. A good Samaritan and a great neighbor.

Awesome shop. Came here originally because it was recommended by my insurance after a small accident. They were great through that whole process. Communicated every step of the way and were done ahead of schedule. and even buffed out some marks that i had admitted were previously there and unrelated to the current claim. Because of the great service that time, and the fact that I felt like they would not rip me off, I came to them to diagnose a problem today. It turned out to be super simple, basically a missing screw, and they fixed it on the spot for free and i was on my way within minutes.They will definitely be my go to auto shop going forward.

The best service I've ever experienced at a collision repair shop. Chris was great and coordinated everything with insurance and the rental company making it carefree for me. The repairs were done in 24 hours and they washed/vacuumed it for me as well!

I had a great experience with the team here.The online quote system was very helpful and there wasn't much revision to the number when I went in to this location. The staff is super courteous and patient with someone who doesn't understand cars in detail :) (special shout out to Mr. Chris)The fix to my car was detailed and thorough. Great service! Would recommend! I damaged both sides of my Lexus in two different accidents and gerber fixed both of them up beautifully. Chris and Sam kept me updated throughout the process and I barely had to lift a finger. They dealt with the insurance for me, and even put on my front license plate (out of state car) at no extra cost. Hopefully I won’t need it, but if I ever damage my vehicle again this is the only place I’ll take it! Thanks!

I was recommended to this place from my neighbor who hit my parked car! I'm so glad we went here. Steve was so amazing. He went out of his way to get all original parts for my car, even though insurance wasn't willing to pay for that. He offered to get a rental all set for us and he even took our rental back for us when we came to pick up the car. He goes above and beyond and I highly recommend his services!

I came to Gerber Collision & Glass because it is one of the preferred vendors for my insurance so I knew the work would be good. As it turns out, it was better than good - they did awesome work on my vehicle! I did have to go a couple of times (one for the estimate and then again to schedule the repairs) and each time I was treated like a valued guest. Whether I was there in person or calling with questions, Irene always greeted me with a smile and sparkling personality. Even with impatient customers, I watched her keep her cool and professionalism. She even went above and beyond to help straighten out an issue I had with the rental service.Matt was also very friendly. He explained everything in detail so I knew exactly what was going to be done and approximately how long it would take.Needless to say, I am very satisfied with the customer service, with the repairs done to my vehicle and my overall experience with this location.

Had to get the car repaired after backing into a steel post. They were preferred vendor for State Farm and from the beginning to the end was a very well run process. I worked with Chris Feihaut and he was great about updating me on progress. They also have a text alert system that keeps you in the loop on progress that I appreciated. I don't know if they are the cheapest but good service and did a great job repairing my car.

Unfortunately, we have had to have our van repaired twice in the last year due to collisions. However, the staff at Gerber have consistently gone above and beyond to make this experience as seamless as possible. In both cases they finished the work ahead of schedule, they were in constant contact with updates and worked with us while we awaited payment from the driver's insurance company for repairs. The attention to detail in their work is top notch and they always return the car incredibly clean. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who needed repairs to their car.
