In 1944 there was a small repair shop on the south side of Chicago called Kozy’s Cyclery. Since then, our business kept growing to include the sales of bicycles, accessories, and clothing. giving the best service is what had kept us going forward all these years. We are trained Guru bike-fit technicians. Whether you want to get optimal performance out of your current bike or are in the market for a new one, our Guru fit will generate real-time, comparable data to determine your most comfortable and powerful riding position. My shifter cable snapped Friday and I had my bike back from Kozy's less than 24 hours later. I don't think my bike shifted this smooth when I first bought it 15 years ago. Whatever they did has drastically improved the bike. On top of their incredibly reasonable prices, $25 for the cable with labor they also slapped new grip tape on my bike for only a few dollars more. To top it off, they oiled my chain without me asking, which was much appreciated as I have been a negligent bike owner this summer. 10/10 would recommend.

I went to this store to see if they had a bolt and nut for my bike. The staff was quick to help everyone standing in line outside (social distancing). They ended up having a bolt that could work for me and wouldn't take a payment for the two pieces of hardware. I listened to the staff help customers, take bikes in and fulfill orders for people while I was being helped. They did an excellent job with all of it and I will be back for my equipment for my bike.

Bought my son's bike here 6 years ago. They did not try to pressure or upsell me and listened to my concerns. The bike was a little big and my son was 13 so it stayed in the basement for the next 5 years. But now he's 18 and it's the perfect size and he's ready to bike more. We took the bike back to get air in the tires. They followed Covid-19 precautions, waited in line 20 minutes. When it was my son's turn, they cleaned off dust, added air and I only paid for a replacement axle nut, less than $2.50. Professional, efficient, courteous service. My son is very happy with his bike.

I stopped by today with a friend purchasing a bike. I was having some slippage in my gears. One of the guys looked at it. He was able to take care of it for me while my friends was inside getting his bike. I'll be back for any of my biking needs. Thank you so much

This is a local-owned, runs-from-home operation. It was super affordable, I got a tune-up, a flat tire fixed, and a cable for one of my brakes for just $65. That's cheaper than just a tune-up elsewhere. I was lucky enough to have the job done on the same day, which he says is not usually the case. I would recommend him to anyone in the sunset/parkside area. His prices are very reasonable, and he's very friendly and down-to-earth.

I had been shopping around for a new bike for the first time in 10+ years. I did a bunch of research online and had a few bikes in mind, but still needed to figure out my size and answer a few questions.I went to Kozy's because they had a ton of bikes across their locations and it was easy to see their inventory online. I was immediately greeted by Dave who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He helped get me sized and answer a dozen questions that I had.I ended up needing to exchange the original bike due to a slight cosmetic flaw I missed during my initial visit, but Dave made it super easy. He had the new bike transferred and all set up and ready to go when I got there. Overall I had a great experience and am really happy with this bike. I look forward to the tune ups and other services included with the bike purchase and would definitely recommend Kozy's!

Fast, easy and quick service. Out of all the bike shops in a 10 mile radius this one is the best for repairs. Only negative is they do not carry Trek bikes.

Live in Minneapolis. I had a friend driving though Chicago back to Minneapolis. Kozy was the only place even close that had the bike I wanted. Called and asked if they could box the bike same day and have it ready for pick up for my friend. They did it no problem. Good and helpful people in the shop!

I got the best bike of my life here. They were very informative and I was relieved at the security measures put in place during quarantine. This bike was certainly pricey but they offer certain tune-ups as part of the package and that made it worth it to me.

Bought a Specialized Diverge bike from here. I called ahead and put a $50 deposit, when I got to the shop a couple hours later they had the bike ready for me. Seamless transaction and love the bike!

David was the consummate salesperson! I had just moved back to Chicago and wanted to take advantage of our wonderful bike trails along the lakefront. As a novice when it comes to biking I appreciated his patient, thorough approach in helping me make the best choice. He explained my various choices for financing through layaway since moving was my first priority. After finding my dream apartment I was able to drive to the rear of the store for pickup. After a strenuous maneuvering of my truck's 3rd row, David helped me get underway. I couldn't be more pleased with choosing Kozy's Cyclery!

I bought my bike early 2018, service was great! People are friendly and helpful. Fast forward a year later and I brought my bike in after sitting all winter. The moment I walked in the guy noticed something other than flat tires was wrong with my bike, I had no idea. lol. So grateful! We then discussed possibilities of getting my bike from Chicago to FL. Dave offered to box my bike up for free AND recommended an online source to ship the boxed bike. They kept my bike patiently for THREE weeks because of my personal delay in the matter. HOW AMAZING ARE THESE PEOPLE. Finally, I have completed my task to facilitate the shipment. Now thanks to Kozy, I have a great bike on the way via UPS. I should get the bike soon :) Thanks Kozy!

I’ve been going here several years. My first (real) bike was from Kozy (SE Draft) and I’ve graduated to others since. They are simply amazing! The service guys treat each bike like it was their own and don’t simply take a request for service, but will take the time to give you advice and teach you about what you’re asking for. The sales staff aren’t pushy, and will ensure you get the bike that fits your goals - no more and no less.

I mostly ended up purchasing a bike from this place because it is super close to my apt. They have some nice perks that come with a new bike, like free adjustments for a year and a couple free tune-ups, etc. It seems like the staff know what they're talking about and they're eager to help. I recommend looking at their selection online rather than in the store since they may have options at some locations that can be transferred to the store closer to you. They do seem to run a bit higher on price than other bike shops but their sale selections are usually pretty reasonable. Worth checking out.

Had an awesome experience here getting a hybrid/commuter bike for the city. Originally picked out a bike online but it wasn’t right when I tried it out in person. Andres was awesome and picked out a different bike for me after hearing my preferences. He set up the bike to my height and showed me all the accessories I needed (but absolutely didn’t ‘oversell’ me). He even went to the extra effort to show me how to properly lock up. Thanks again and would definitely recommend

Overall: Customer service is key, and Kozy's doesn't disappoint on that. Fast and friendly, a great stop for any biking needs.The good: Everyone from the cashier to the service guys were friendly and helpful. Went in with the purpose of looking for a U-lock mount, and not only did I find one in 2 minutes (thanks to help) but also they installed it free of charge. I was in the shop for a total of 10-15 minutes with a mission accomplished.The not-so-good: Place is definitely old and has seen some days, so it's weathered inside compared to some newer bike shops. Kind of a grimy feel. But honestly, that's okay, it adds character and it suits the employees well. They embrace it.

Great customer service. Bought a new bike here summer 2017 and they have always been helpful with repairs and maintenance (free 1st year adjustments are great and I cannot emphasize enough). Reasonably priced and quick.
